What Comes Next

What Comes Next by John Katzenbach SPOILER-FREE REVIEW "Remember what's important. Forget the rest". My favorite types of books are psychological thrillers, indisputably. Though they can be graphic and impressive, I like them to the core. I love me some good ol' mystery and suspense in every way, but in books, thrillers are definitely on a whole another level. But the thing is after you read a lot of them, you kind of steal some intuition from them and can guess the who's, what's, and when's. Not with John Katzenbach. John Katzenbach is the best thriller writer I have ever gotten to known to this day, with the company of Gillian Flynn. Katzenbach is my idol. The man is a complete genius. Every single word written by him makes you understand why literature is art. He makes you a character, entraps you in the story, and makes you read it itself. He can be explicit and his characters are well-formed: interesting pasts, inconsistent presents, and uncertain f...

Hello there! I am currently reading Millenium (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) which is kind of a big book and studying for the SAT, which is slowing down my reading a little bit. Do not think I haven't been wanting to post a new entry! In fact, I have been wanting to write down a little bit, which is why I am posting a list of books that I will soon review. These are some I have read this year and thoroughly enjoyed! - Sharp Objects , by Gillian Flynn -The Analyst I and II, by John Katzenbach -You, by Caroline Kepnes -Hidden Bodies, by Caroline Kepnes -What Comes Next , by John Katzenbach -Verity, by Colleen Hoover -Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn And of course, Millenium, once I am done with it. Please let me know if you have read and enjoyed any of these books, and give me some ideas of different books I should review!

We Were Liars

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart SPOILER-FREE REVIEW "Johnny, he is bounce, effort and snark. Mirren, she is sugar, curiosity and rain. Gat, he was contemplation and enthusiasm. Ambition and strong coffee". The book is unique. Perhaps it is all I need to say. From the setting to the well-thought Sinclair family tree, the covered subjects, and the way the book is narrated; it is unique. The story is perfectly thought about, and I believe E. Lockhart made an amazing job entering you into the story. It is also a page-turner, fast-paced book; however, the story can get complicated.  The narration of the book changes some chapters. Some chapters are from the past, others are a reminder of who the Sinclair family is, some are e-mails, some in the present, some stories, some exaggerated detailing about migraines. The chapters themselves are not very long. Some people do not like this about the book, yet I do. It does get confusing at some point, especially with the exaggerated migrain...

It Ends with Us  by Colleen Hoover SPOILER-FREE REVIEW "There's no such thing as bad people. We're all just people who sometimes do bad things". I had seen this book multiple times on Booktok, and I had put it on my list - which is a long list of thrillers and noir novels - but what made me finally begin reading was the first page of the book, its dedication: "For my father, who tried his very best not to be his worst. And for my mother, who made sure we never saw him at his worst". It clicked something on me. I had read Colleen Hoover before, starting with Verity, but I knew she was a romance author. I thought this was a romance book, and let me warn you, it is not. If you want to read a beautiful, funny, romantic novel and fall in love with their relationship, this w...
